On Friday the Hong Kong Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple 8 detailed design patents that in total provided 58 images. The patents cover the iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 cases and folios along with a design for Apple Store product box.
Unlike “patent applications” that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.
The designs were filed with Locarno Classifications as noted above and their definitions are as follows:
Locarno Class 14-01 (Equipment for Recording); 14-02 (handheld computers); 14-03 (Smartphones, wireless communications). Locarno Class 3-01: cases; Locarno Class 9-03: Boxes.
